Support at Home

Advert For The Home Care Conference (4)

As you know, our industry is preparing to transition to the new Support at Home funding model, and we would like to take a moment to share with you what we are doing at Sandwai to design and develop the functionality that will assist in making the transition to SaH (Support at Home) as seamless as possible for you.

At Sandwai, we are not only building the features that you will need to transition to Support at Home, but we are ensuring our functionality will be as user friendly, seamless and automated as possible.

Design and development is well underway to build out the following features:

  • A Wizard to migrate HCP client data and configuration to Support at Home.
  • Adding the new user interfaces for funding type configuration
  • Connectivity to the 15 APIs released by Services Australia, to create a complete B2G integration for all of Support at Home data.
  • The new data structure for the Support at Home client statements
  • Creation of the new database relationship between statements, purchase orders, schedules, product purchases and other transactions to create efficient and seamless workflows.
  • The new budgeting tool for clients with income, expenditure and balances
  • The new quoting tool for budget estimates
  • The new care management budget tool allows you to monitor case management utilisation.
  • Changes within the employee mobile application
  • Changes within the client and family mobile application
  • Report changes and new reporting features
  • Integrations and exports
  • HCP deprecation

What are we doing to make sure we are staying on top of the changes as they progress?

  • We are a member of the Department of Health’s Digital Transformation Forum, where we meet fortnightly to discuss and help steer the technology aspects of the model.
  • We are an Industry Associate with Ageing Australia (formerly ACCPA) and a member of the special interest groups.
  • We are a member of the Medical Software Industry Association (MSIA).
  • We attend the Services Australia software vendor webinars, where we have the opportunity to ask questions on specifications and integrations as well as be kept up to date with claiming changes.
  • We attend tech talks held by the Department of Health to ensure we are across the latest industry information.
  • We attend many state and federal industry conferences.
  • We are on notification lists, and we check the Services Australia portal daily to ensure we receive the latest updates to documentation.

This project is our highest priority for this year, and we are coordinating our resources to ensure this project is successful.
Our internal Support at Home steering committee meets twice a week to ensure progression, and we have prioritised Support at Home development over all other enhancements.
We are aiming for the transition from HCP to Support at Home to be as seamless for our customers as possible, so we will also have a focus on automated data migration, user documentation, and delivering training to users.
We are holding webinars on our planning and development progress in the coming weeks, and we will be looking to hold group training sessions as we begin to make the functionality available.
We look forward to having Support at Home released and to having a successful and smooth transition for all of our providers.
